Happy Birthday Mr. Velvet Nose

Today, Jake turns 10

3 months old

Jakey, you are a surprise of a dog.  For a dog that I was told would only live to maybe be 5 years old, your strength and endurance surprises even me.  Between the seizures and the bad hips the vet wasn’t sure which would get you first.  But it was all the crazy things you can eat from the box of chocolates to the box of blue paint balls that worried me the most.  Despite these things you’ve lead a fairly active life from keeping up with your boy, hunting and being a doggy model on to now a life of leisure.  I could go on forever telling about all your adventures.

You have grown from the cute little guy that you were to the big softy that you are and through it all always managed to have slobber on your nose.

We love you big boy!  Here’s to more life and adventure!
